Mini Abdominoplasty, also known as a mini tummy tuck, is a less invasive version of traditional abdominoplasty (tummy tuck). It focuses on removing excess skin and fat from the lower abdomen, typically below the belly button, while tightening the muscles in the lower abdominal wall. This procedure is ideal for individuals who have mild to moderate excess skin or fat and do not require the extensive removal or muscle tightening that a full tummy tuck involves.
During a mini abdominoplasty, the surgeon makes a smaller incision, usually just above the pubic area, to remove excess fat and skin. Unlike a full tummy tuck, the incision does not extend around the belly button, and the procedure does not involve repositioning the belly button. In some cases, the abdominal muscles may be tightened, but the procedure is less extensive compared to a full abdominoplasty.
