Mastopexy with Prosthesis

Prosthesis Mammoplasty, commonly referred to as breast augmentation or breast implant surgery, is a cosmetic surgical procedure designed to enhance the size, shape, and volume of the breasts using implants. This procedure is commonly performed for various reasons, such as increasing breast size, restoring breast volume after weight loss or pregnancy, or reconstructing the breasts after a mastectomy.

During the procedure, the surgeon typically makes an incision in one of several areas:

The surgeon then creates a pocket either under the breast tissue (subglandular) or beneath the chest muscle (submuscular) and inserts the implant. The implants may be filled with saline solution or silicone gel, depending on the patient’s preferences and the desired result.

After the procedure, the incisions are closed with sutures, and the area is typically bandaged or supported with a surgical bra.
